Last weekend, another stage of Indonesia Day celebrations took place in the Indonesian part of M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden. Mufti Saud Ismagilov and some of parishioners of RAMU “Umma” were among the guests of an informal reception hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kyiv. Acting as hosts were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Of Indonesia to Ukraine H.E. Prof. Dr. Yuddy Chrisnandi and his wife Velly Elvira.

When opening the gathering, His Excellency stressed that their goal was to celebrate the Independence of both Indonesia (75th anniversary) and Ukraine (29th anniversary), for they have great respect for Ukraine. For that reason, the decorations were in colours of both flags: red, white, blue and yellow.

Sheikh Said congratulated the Indonesian people represented by H.E. Yuddy Chrisnandi upon that important occasion, and wished them peace, welfare and cohesion.

After a brief formal part, the guests were offered a range of interesting activities, including calisthenics and Indonesian dances (social distancing provided), sports competitions, and a fourchette of traditional Indonesian treats (including BBQ).
